I graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical / Control Systems, Hons I) from Queensland University of Technology in 2012. Since then, I have commenced as a research student in the CyPhy lab at QUT in January 2013 and am now completing a PhD. My project is titled Integrating Symbolic Spatial Cues in Robot Navigation. This project aims to enable robots to achieve navigation based goals by utilising the information encoded in everyday environments as "spatial cues". These cues can include text labels, maps, signs, route directions and human gestures.
