Please note that the positions have been filled. If you are interested in general robotics / computer programming / computer vision RA work please contact me with your GPA and areas of expertise.

I have some grant money to fund an RA to develop and produce some video tutorials on the basics of how to design, build, program, debug and test a two or more degree of freedom robot arm using the Lego Mindstorms NXT kits.

  • Design and shoot a series of video tutorials introducing key aspects of designing and building a reliable mechanical robot arm
  • Design and shoot a series of video tutorials introducing key aspects of programming that robot arm to do useful things like trajectory planning and execution, using the MATLAB NXT Toolkit and Peter Corke's MATLAB toolboxes (not RobotC).
  • Edit and produce the videos for my robotics YouTube channel (click to go check it out).

For starters I have about 20 - 140 hours of work available, depending on how we go. Deadline is as soon as possible, but we'd need to have a decent number of videos finished by start of Semester 2 (mid-late July). You would get credit and acknowledgement on the video page of your authorship and video production.
